Hey y’all! It’s been a minute, and we wanted to let you know what we’ve been up to. We recently recorded & made an official video for “The Weekend Whip“. It’s the theme song for Lego’s new animated series Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitzu. We went to Denmark, home of Lego, to shoot it- which was the first time our band had been there. This is also the first time we’ve had a song mixed by Chris Lord-Alge, which is very exciting for us! A very special thanks to Jeppe Riddervold and JAM for putting all of this together.

This story started last year, when we sang on a demo which was used in season one of the show. The traction has been so great, racking up over 10 million youtube hits in just a few short months, that Lego gave the go ahead to have the band full re-track the song, as well as shoot a high budget video to release the song as a single. Which brings us to today, we’re excited to get this out there and rest assured, our new album IS IN PRODUCTION! For the moment, though- CHECK OUT THE VIDEO:

We hope this season is knocking your stockings off. As you may have heard, a few days ago we released a Christmas song called “This Christmas” just in time for the holidaze. We’re just getting started on our new record, so this felt like the perfect thing to say “til next year” to the fans, we hope you enjoy it! Plus, I wrote the song about that one person in my life who beats all other gifts. It’s a great time of year, but even better when we take the emphasis off of ourselves. Woah, that was deep for a news post. I digress.

“The Sad Banana” Video Premiere
If you didn’t already know how much we love throwing together stupid little video clips, you haven’t been around very long at all. If you’ve been around at all lately, you’ll notice we’ve been on kind of this…banana kick. I guess you could call it! Reason being, we’ve shot a bunch of videos over the last couple tours and even some home shows with the “Sad Banana” premise. If you’re looking for reasoning…I can’t give you any. We don’t know why, we just thought it’d be funny.

Well now, the video is done and before we release it on Twitter for Fold Theater Thursday, we thought we’d give all of you dibs on seeing the video.
